I'm a principal product designer with 20 years owning product surfaces end-to-end — from strategy to the pixels — across Amazon, Meta, and high-growth startups. I work as an owner-operator: I set the design direction and personally ship the interface, rather than hand off specs.

A small-to-medium company where I can own most of the UI and UX, work directly with end users, and contribute to the brand — ideally on a product that helps people (renewable energy, community, knowledge-sharing). I'm open to larger companies and SaaS too, but that's the work that gets my best.
Is Jason Leimgruber a designer or a manager?
Both — but hands-on first. I've managed teams of up to 9 and acted as design director, yet I still personally design the screens: at Safety Design I designed every screen and built the 180-component design system myself. I want roles where I own the craft, not just the org chart.
